1880 Census for Taylor County, West Virginia

In the 1880 Census for Grafton, Taylor County, West Virginia, identified by red dos on the census at the bottom of this page, two Colerider families are listed. Edward Colerider's household include five family members and two boarders.

Edward Colerider (#29) is 62 and a boot and shoe maker.t His birth place is listed as Virginia. His father's birthplace is Frankfort, Germany and his mother's birthplace is Virginia
Jemima (#30) is 53 and keeping house. She is listed as being born in Virginia, as were both her parents.
Alvena J. is 22. She is listed as being born in Virginia, as were both her parents.
Sallie T. is 21. She is listed as being born in Virginia, as were both her parents.
Flora C. is 19. She is listed as being born in Virginia, as were both her parents.
Albert Shahan 27(brakeman, RR. Co.). He was born in Virginia, as were both his parents.
Thomas W. Davis 27 (carpenter, RR. Co.) He was born in Maryland, as were both his parents.

Just below Edward's household on the census is Henry C. Colerider (#15), Edward and Jemima's son. Listed are two family members and an apprentise.

Henry Colerider (#15) is the head of a household and 25 years old. He is a shoe maker. He was born in Virgina, as were both his parents.
Alma (#16) [Anna Eliza], is 22 years old and is keeping house. She was born in Virginia, as were both her parents.
Albert Kelly, 18, is an apprentice and works in the shoe shop. He was born in Virginia. His father was born in Ireland and his mother was born in Virginia.

[Note: There is a mistake in the census: Edward's father, Henry (#57), was not born in Germany. He was born in Maryland. Edward's grandfather, Henri Kaltreiter (#113) was born in Germany.]
