Miscellaneous:
From The Pioneer - 1976. "Henri
Kaltreiter served in the Navy during the Revolution and was mustered
out as a Rear-Admiral. He settled in the heart of a German community
in Baltimore County, Maryland. He was the father of two sons, Henri [Henry Colerider (#57)]
and Freiderich."
[Note: There was a Frieterich Kaltreiter living at Pipe Creek, Carroll, Maryland on 19 October 1822. He was a Lutheran and a member of St. Benjamins (Kreider) Lutheran Congregation. Could this be one of Henri's sons?]
[Note: in 1785 there a Henry Kaltreiter listed on a Tax and Exoneration form for Windsor Township in York County, Pennsylvania. In 1788, there was also a Henry Kaltreiter listed on a Tax and Exoneration form for Shrewsbury Township in York County Pennsylvania. York County was once considered the first capital of the United States before Washington and it borders Maryland to its south. Could this be Henri? ]
