1820 Census Kingston, Delaware, Ohio

Below is the charted information from the census, followed by the actual census page. The Enumeration Date of the census was August 7, 1820.

Walter Dunham (#35) is the head of this family. Listed as free white persons are 1 male age 10-16, 1 male age 26-45, 2 females under 10, 1 female age 16 - 26. The number of persons engaged in agriculture =1.[ Walter would have been 32 years old, his wife, Elizabeth (#36) would have been 22.]

The three children who are numerically listed are probably Ann, Susan, and Chancey. Ann Mariah Dunham (#18), born in 1815, would have been ~5 years old. She is probably one of the females listed as under 10. The second female under 10 is likely Susan L. Dunham, who was born in 1819 and would have been ~1. The male between 10 and 16 may have been George. His birth date is unknown, but his brothers would not have been born.

The children of Walter and Elizabeth who are not listed include Chancey, Samuel, Almenda, and Harriett. Chancey C. Dunham was born in 1822. Samuel Huxford Dunham was born circa 1828 (Source of purple information above: Susan Williams e-mail address: slw02@sprynet.com). Almeda Dunham was born probably after 1830 and before 1840. It appears that she is the female listed on the 1840 Census as being between 5 and 10 years of age. Harriett Dunham was born in 1844 according to 1850 Federal Census , where she is listed as 6 years of age.
