Miscellaneous Information:
The 1698 census of Newtown, New York lists "Henry Marshan" as head of the home, with two others living with him. The two were likely Ann and Henry III, their first child.
Circa 1700, Henry Marshan moved his family from New York to Hunterdown (now Mercer) County, New Jersey, near the present town of Lawrenceville. Henry was a land owner by 1702. Living there, he and Ann raised their 5 sons and 5 daughters: Henry III, Mary, Rebekah, Thomas, Andrew Mershon (#345), Peter, Ann, Houghton, Elizabeth, and Sarah.
Henry died 20 September 1738. Ann survived her husband and her name appears in his will. Ann's name also appears in two land deeds prior to 1738 that deeded land to their sons.
