Below: Wedding photograph of Andrew Mettler and his wife Mary Jane Liggett. They were both from Hocking County. They were married at the home of her parents in Salt creek 12 Dec 1863.

 

Below: Andrew was in the Civil War. He joined the 187th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for 1 year and was sent to Georgia. It was basically to maintain a military presence until active Reconstruction began. He didn't see any battles.
