1810 Census for Harrison County, Virginia

 

Below is a chart showing the vital information in the 1810 census for the household of John Strader (#119).

It appears that John and his wife, Mary Post (#120) had 9 children when this census was taken. There were 3 Free White Males Under 10, 1 Free White Male 10 thru 15, 1 Free White Male 16 thru 25, 1 Free White Male 26 thru 44, 3 Free White Females under 10, 1 Free White Female 10 thru 15, and 1 Free White Female 26 thru 44.

The names of many of the family members are not known for sure by this webmaster. The 3 Free White Males Under 10 may have been: sons Michael (born in 1799, aged ~11), John Jr. (born in 1801/1803, aged 9 or 7) and Jacob (born in 1810, age > 1). The 1 Free White Male 10 thru 15 may have been Isaac (born in 1797, age 13).The 1 Free White Male 16 thru 25 may have been Martin (born in 1791/1793, aged 19 or 17). The Free White Male 26 thru 44 was John (born in 1769, aged 41).

One of the three Free White Females under 10 was Barbara (#60) (born in 1804, aged 6). The Free White Female 10 thru 15 may have been Sarah (born in 1795, aged 15) and the Free White Female 26 thru 44 was Mary (born ~1775, aged 35).
