June 2, 2024, Alex Albright , a descendant of Nicholas Gibbs Albright sent the web host an e-mail, introducing himself. In several additional e-mails, he reported history of the descendants of Nicholas Gibbs Albright. According to Alex’s research, Nicholas was the 3rd of 6 children of Hendrick Albright and Mary Ann “Polly” Gibbs. 

Descendants of Nicholas' grandson James Taylor Albright have been meeting on a regular basis with yearly reunions. Alex can remember reunions happening as long as he can remember, and at the time of our communication, he is 73 years old. 

Nicholas Gibbs Albright and Mary Ann “Polly” Gibbs had 5 children. One of their sons,  James Rogers Albright and his wife Sarah “Sally” Albright had 10 children.  One of the sons was James Taylor Albright (1847-1934). The currently held reunion is for the descendants of James Taylor Albright and his wife Mary Elizabeth Patton (1850-1918).  At the June 2024 reunion, there were descendants representing four of James' and Mary’s eight children; 48 people in all.

Laverne, b. 6 April 1936, married George Graham Albright, b. 30 June 1927 to Richard Frank Albright & Nellie Graham Tapscott Albright, who died in 1929. LaVerne is daughter of Johnnie Emanuel Hodges (1896-1965) and Bertha Spencer Foster (1893-1972). She & George had two sons, Andy & Allen. Liz, b. 11 Dec 1941, to Richard Frank Albright & Grace Truman Pickard (RFA’s 3rd wife) who married 29 June 1940 in Burlington NC;. Liz, who lives in Atlanta, is RFA and Grace's only child.
