He was 20 and single; the highest grade he attended was High School, 4th year. The number of weeks he worked in 1939 = 0, and his income was = 0. A year later, at 21 years of age (according to his obituary), he married. His obituary appeared in the Frederick News Post on February 15, 1999, on page 5.
