When the 1790 Heads of Families First Census of the United States was conducted, George Meek (#187) lived in Huntingdon County and Gabriel Steely (#93) lived in Mifflin County, as shown on the 1789 map. Sometime prior to 1785 when their first child, John, was born, Gabriel married Mary Meek (#94) (George's daughter).]
