[Note: The administrators for performing the inventory of Daniel's estate in 1835 included Robert Donnell, Joseph Donnell and Ervin/Erwin Donnell (#53). These three were some of Daniel's sons. Also listed in the document are Washington Donnell and Larkin Smith. It is unknown by this webmaster, the family connection to those last two. They may have been Daniel Sr.'s grandsons.]

 

 

STATE OF NORTH-CAROLINA
Guilford county.

KNOW all men by these presents, That we Robert Donnell, Joseph Donnell
Ervin Donnell, F. Washington Donnell & Larkin Smith
are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina in the sum of ___ Thousand
Dollars: current money, to be paid to the said State of North Carolina; for
which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executers or administrators,
jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 10
day of February Anno Domini 1835.

THE CONDITION of this obligation is such, That if the above bounden
Robert Donnell, Joseph Donnell & Ervin Donnell
administrator of all and singular the goods and chattles rights and credits of Daniel Donnell
deceased, do make and cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all
and singular the goods and chattles, rights and credits of the deceased, which have or shall come to the
hands, knowledge, or possession of the said Robert Donnell, Joseph Donnell & Erwin
Donnell or into the hands or possession of any person or persons for them-
and the same so made, do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the County Court of Guilford, within
ninety days from the date of these presents: And the same goods, chattles and credits, and all other the
goods, chattles and credits of the deceased, at the time of his death, or which at any time hereafter shall
come into the hands or possession of the said Robert Donnell, Joseph Donnell &
Erwin Donnell - or into the hands or possession of any person for
do well and truly administer according to law; and further do make, or cause to be made,
a true and just account of these said administration, agreeably to law, and after the date of these pre-
sent: and all the rest and residue of the said goods, chattles and credits, which shall be found remaining
upon the said administraton account, (the same being allowed by the County Court) shall deliver
and pay unto such person or persons, respectively, as the same shall become due, pursuant to the true
intent and meaning of the General Assembly in that case made and provided. And if it shall appear
that any will or testament was made by the deceased, and the executors therein named do exhibit the
same to court, making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly, if the said Robert
Donnell, Joseph Donnell & Erwin Donnell have bounden being thereunto
required, do render and deliver the said letters of administration, (approbation of such testament be-
ing made in said Court) then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue:
