The following 5 items refer to three different Virginia land office grants, totalling 677 acres, for Christopher Strader. The first three items are about land Christopher acquired in 1786. The fourth item is a 1792 land grant, and the fifth item is a 1797 land grant.
Item 1: Shows a land grant record in Harrison County, Virginia dated 13 November 1786 for 400 acres on Buchanan River including the mouth of Little Sandy Run.
Item 2: Shows more details of the land grant dated 13 November 1786. It states that Patrick Henry, then governor of Virginia was the one who granted the land. Chris paid two pounds sterling to establish his claim and right of residence, and this land grant was presumed to be a reward for foodstuffs and other supplies he provided for General Washington's troops.
