census page for Guilford County, North Carolina. The census shows John Cunningham (#107). There were 27 people living in his household, 9 were free and white, 16 were slaves. [Note: The column in the middle of the actual census indicates that 7 individuals were involved in agriculture.]
The following are likely the names of the family members: 1 Free White Male Under 10 Years of Age: Andrew (born in 1812 ~8 years old); 1 Free White Male of 10 and Under 16: William (born in 1809 ~11 years old); 2 Free White Males of 16 and Under 26: Mitchell (born in 1799 ~21 years old) and probably Joseph (born ?); 1 Free White Male of 45 and Upwards, Including Heads of Families: John Cunningham (#107) (born in 1763 ~ 57 years old); 2 Free White Females Under 10 Years of Age: Nancy (born ~1817 ~3 years old) and probably Elizabeth (Born ?); 1 Free White Females of 10 and Under 16: Polly (born 1805 ~15 years old); and 1 Free White Female Of 26 & Under 45 Including Heads of Families: Mary Findley (John's 3rd wife) (born ?) [Note: By 1820 son James had married and was not living at home. Daughter Isabella had married and died sometime before 1820 when her father wrote his will. Son John had died in 1817 at the age of 22. Daughter Hannah was not living with her father because she had married Ervin Donnell in 1818.]
